Strengthening Thailand’s Medical Device Ecosystem: SCGP sign MOU with Navamindradhiraj University to Drive Healthcare Innovation
SCGP, led by Mr. Karan Tejasen Chief Operating Officer for Healthcare Supplies Business, together with Navamindradhiraj University, represented by Associate Professor Pongsak Nophayak, Acting President, held a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing ceremony on Monday, 29 September 2025. The collaboration aims to develop and promote innovations in medical devices such as surgical drapes, sterilization trays, and radiation protection aprons.
This partnership integrates the complementary strengths of both organizations. Navamindradhiraj University contributes its strong academic expertise in medicine and public health, supported by experienced medical professionals, while SCGP brings robust capabilities in innovation, design, and manufacturing aligned with industrial needs.
The collaboration is expected to result in the development of practical, clinically relevant medical devices and to enhance Thailand’s medical self‑reliance through domestic production.
In addition, SCGP and Navamindradhiraj University place strong emphasis on personnel development and knowledge exchange, which are fundamental to sustainable research and innovation. Opportunities for professionals from both organizations to share experiences and skills in design and research will help cultivate well‑rounded talent with both theoretical and practical competencies, playing a key role in advancing Thailand’s medical innovation ecosystem in the long term.
